Earlier this calendar year, Moraine Valley and six other state colleges and universities received notice that our group proposal, “Faculty and Teacher Development for Teaching in a Global World” was awarded $16,000 from the Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries of Illinois (CARLI) for the purchase of library materials. Thanks go out to Nancy Hessler for her hard work in preparing this proposal. To quote from the letter of acknowledgement, ” Your grant proposal was well written. It contained good collection analysis and presented a convincing need for the materials within the state.” Nancy’s subject area, “College Level Cross-Cultural Curriculum Content and Teaching Multicultural Students,” was funded for the full $2000 requested.
