Receive Email Updates From the Library’s Blogs

The library’s blogs (news & search tips) now offer email updates. When you visit each blog, look for the link “receive email updates” on the right hand side of the page. Click on this link, enter your email address, and whenever a new post is made to the blogs, you will get an email message. We will not distribute your email address to anyone, and you will never get junk email from us. Only information posted to the blogs. This is a handy way to keep up with happenings in the library.

Both of the library’s podcasts (Library Events & Check it Out) already have email updates in place.

Petra, Jordan Display and Lecture

As part of Arab Heritage month, the Arab Student Union organized a display on the historic site in Petra, Jordan. This event was help in the library. Here are a couple of photos of the students at work:

Student Micro Fiction in the Library

The library was pleased to host our final lecture for the semester that is part of our One Book, One College Program on Malcolm X. This excellent lecture was presented by Delwyn Jones, Assistant Professor of Communications/Speech, and it is now available on the library podcast page. Arab Heritage Celebration: Petra Display and Lecture

The library will be hosting the Petra Display and Lecture as part of the Arab Heritage Celebration from Noon to 2 pm on Wednesday, November 14th.

Learn more about the fascinating archeological site of Petra in Jordan, famous for having many stone structures carved into rock. Petra was named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World this year. Guest lecture by Tadros Nabeel.
