A Snapshot of Our Library

On February 10th, as were digging out from all of the snow, our library participated in the Illinois Library Associations’ event “Snapshot: One Day of the Life in Illinois’ Libraries.” Here is a quick snapshot of our day:

People who walked through our door: 3,179
Items checked out: 238
Public computer use (including laptops): 558
Number of students in our classes: 58
Number of questions at the Reference Desk: 79
Online catalog searches: 470
Hits to the library home page (www.morainevalley.edu/library): 2452

We collected 98 surveys. Some of our favorite comments:

The staff are very helpful and the library is always clean. It is easy to do homework and research at this library because everyone is respectful of one another.

It’s a wonderful helpful place.

I love the library because I can concentrate on my homework and research what I need.

I LOVE MORAINE VALLEY’S LIBRARY!

Everyone in the library is very helpful. I’m here every day to borrow materials and ask questions. I’m never disappointed. It’s a great place to keep updated on information and my classes. I’m grateful.

The library has great scones.

It’s a very well run library. It’s busy, but still quiet.

Best library ever.

It’s really clean, organized, and the whole staff is really helpful! I actually enjoy coming to the library.
