What do Congo, Egypt, South Korea, Russia, France, Mexico, and the United States have in common? Each of these countries, as well as several dozen others, had or will have presidential or parliamentary elections in 2012. Most of these elections can be described as very competitive and full of significant implications within the country conducting the election. Today, we hosted an event focused on key elections taking place in 2012, the different electoral rules and types of elections throughout the world, and the potential implications of these contests. This event was organized by Moraine Valley Global Education and features Political Scientist Kevin Navratil.
