Do you access the Library from your classroom or home via the Web?  Do you use any of the library’s online services such as:

  • Research databases
  • Library catalog
  • Request It (placing a holds on items)
  • Order items from other libraries (Interlibrary loan)
  • eBook and other streaming media platforms

System updates are complete.  Access to the library catalog has been restored.



Access to the library catalog, will be down Sunday,  8/26, beginning at 7am and lasting throughout the early morning before the library opens so we can perform library system updates.

Access to library resources, including the catalog and subscription research databases will be down Monday, 3/12, beginning at 8 am and lasting throughout the morning so we can perform library system updates.

We will update you when the process has been completed, but services should be restored by noon.  Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

You will be able to access library research databases on campus only.  If you are working on campus that day, visit this link for more information.

All the Hoopla about Hoopla! Borrow eBooks, Movies, Music, & More!

hoopla is a *new* digital media service offered by MVCC Library that allows you to borrow ebooks, comics, music, eaudiobooks, movies, and TV shows.

  • You can access these resources by computer via your browser, as well as on other devices, like your tablet and/or smart phone, by downloading the hoopla app.
  • Find hoopla items by going to https://hoopladigital.com.   You may also discover hoopla items that are in our library catalog.
  • You will create your personal hoopla account through MVCC Library. It will be active as long as you remain a current student or staff member.

Note: You are allowed to borrow up to 3 items per month via Hoopla.

Our database vendor, ProQuest, will be performing system maintenance on the following databases beginning 9pm, January 27th to 6am, January 28th.
